Sottovento is an Italian restaurant near the beach in El Cotillo. On the terrace you have an amazing ocean view and you can hear the waves crashing on the shore.

Italian restaurant El Cotillo
If you like pasta or other Italian dishes such as pizza or seafood, than Sottovento is the restaurant you need to visit. Especially the gnocchi with cheese is amazing. If you are more into seafood than choose the fried seafood platter.

For meat lovers there are amazing steaks and if you like pizza’s than you will be happy to hear that they serve that also.
If you are someone who sometimes skips the starter and only orders a main course, than don’t do it here. At least try a bruschetta. You won’t be disappointed, because the starters are very good at this restaurant.
When you love desserts than go for the chocolate cake, this is definitely a treat.
Watch the sunset at Sottovento
As you see, there are a lot of (Italian) options on the menu. On the inside the restaurant is very spacious and on the terrace you have one of the most magnificently views of the island. Here you can see the beach and watch how the sun sets and disappears into the ocean in the evening.
The food and especially the wine are a bit expensive in comparison to other restaurant in El Cotillo, but it is definitely worth the money.
The waiters are very friendly and are willing to give you a wonderful time. There is an open kitchen so you can see how dedicated the food is cooked.
