This beautiful beach is my favourite beach in El Cotillo, perhaps in all of Fuerteventura. Especially with children. The El Cotillo beach, Playa de la Concha is less than a 30 minute ride from Corralejo.
Wind
Swimming is fairly safe here, as there are no big waves in the swimming bay. To protect yourself against the strong wind, the locals built shelters from lava stones which are called corralitos, in these stone circles you can lay your towel.
Snorkeling
You can also go snorkeling here and see many fishes. There is a surfboard rental nearby who also rents snorkeling stuff (Calle la Gomera). If you like to go snorkeling more often, then you can buy it yourself at the FuerChina (Chinese shop)
El Cotillo beach bar
There is a small beach bar called Torino where they serve Canarian (sea)food, but it is also close (by car) to the bakery Mil Deseos and the fish restaurant Bonito Gastrobar. For a cheaper option you can go to the HiperDino or HiperDino express supermarket in El Cotillo.
The water is very clear and clean. The beach is also very clean. You can park your car for free on the (sand) parking lot. There is no sun lounger rental.
