Surfing Colors is a modern and clean hotel lies in the centre of Corralejo. It is a very cool place to stay with good facilities, like a 24 hour reception staff and a swimming pool.
Corralejo centre hotel
Surfing Colors is in the centre of Corralejo, so you are within a short walk to lots of restaurants, shops and other entertainment.
At 250 meters from the hotel you’ll find a HiperDino supermarket and the restaurant closest by is Avenida Restaurante at 100 meters. The city beach also is within walking distance at approximately 1 kilometer, it is near Waikiki Beach Club. The sea is very nearby, but you can’t swim here.
When you have a (rental) car, in the low season it will be easy to park your car (for free) in front of Surfing colors hotel, but in high season it will be a little more difficult to find a parking spot.
When you walk through the lobby you will come to the swimming area. It is the centre of hotel Surfing Colors. Here you’ll find a nice swimming pool and a paddling pool. Most of the time there is a lifeguard present. The water has a nice temperature, not very cold but it is refreshing. The pool isn’t very big, but I believe it is big enough for the number of guests that can stay in the hotel.
There are sunbeds and many relaxing places, the wigwams and the big bamboo beds are very popular. The restaurant only serves breakfast, the rest of the day you can buy some drinks, ice creams and snacks at the counter. You are near the centre so you can easily walk to a nice (tapas) restaurant in the neighbourhood.
Surfing Colors hotel rooms
There are different types of rooms and they are all very nice, but for a honeymoon of course you definitly need to book the suite with hot tub.
- Sweet Home, a 40 m2 room with a bleu white theme, two one person beds, a sitting room and a kitchen.
- Surfing Dreams, a very new room of 30m2, minibar, without a kitchen (incl breakfast)
- Suite Dreams, a room of 45m2 with a two person bed and a one person sofa, a hot tub, minibar, no kitchen.
We had the Surfing Dreams room and it was a very bright and clean room. There was enough space to store our clothes and other stuff. The bathroom was very modern and clean and the beds lay very well.
There wasn’t much noise in the evening, when people where making noise around the pool after eleven in the evening, the reception staff asked them to go elsewhere because some people wanted to sleep.
Our room included breakfast. We really enjoy going to bakeries for breakfast, but it was included so we had breakfast a couple of times at the surfing Colors hotel and the breakfast was really good.
The breakfast is served as a buffet. There is much choice, they have fresh fruits, baked eggs, croissants and many more. You can sit inside or outside.
In the lobby / reception you’ll find some information about excursions. For example excursions to Lanzarote or the south of Fuerteventura.
The staff will help you with booking an excursion. There also is a computer which you can use for a small fee. There are clean toilets next to the breakfast restaurant.
Once a week there is a barbecue, for ten euro per person you can enjoy a barbecue with live music and one free drink. You will get an invitation for the barbecue and then you can buy your ticket at the reception.
The quality of the barbecue is good. There will be for example corncobs, spareribs, sausages, chicken, bread, sauces and salat.
For younger children there isn’t much entertainment, but I believe it’s a save place for children and if you take the time to have fun with your kids they will have a great time here.
Next door is a surf school, they work together with the Surfing Colors hotel. You can book a package that includes staying in the hotel and surf lessons. You can also walk into the surfschool and book one lesson (or more).
Most of the guests are couples, some are surfers but definitely not al.
The rooms cost somewhere between the 50 and 100 euros per night (for two persons).
Next to Surfing Colors hotel you’ll find another hotel with good reviews, named Bristol Sunset Beach.
