La Jaira de Demian

There are many restaurants in Puerto del Rosario. La Jaira de Damian is one of them. This gastro bar serves traditional Spanish food and dishes from the canary islands with a twist.

The location of the restaurant isn’t the prettiest. But they have a uninspected small terrace where you can enjoy a wonderful diner. When the terrace is full or you find it is a little to cold for sitting outside you can also have a seat inside the restaurant.

Warm welcome at La Jaira de Damian

When you enter La Jaira de Damian, you will get a very warm and friendly welcome.

After settling down they will offer you some bread with different olive oils. There isn’t a real menu card, instead there are chalkboards where the dishes of the are presented.

It’s very normal here to share your plate. It may be very romantic to share the food with your lover. This also gives you the opportunity to try different dishes.

After all this amazing food you will be surprised by the price on the bill. And to let you leave even more happy, you will get a free shot. They let you choose between some liquors. We choose the caramel vodka, and that turned out to be an amazing choice.

You can also eat here for lunch. Then you can go for the menu del día (menu of the day) at witch you can choose between two starters, two mains and two desserts, it also includes one drink. All of this for the amazing cheap price of twelve euros. Because the restaurant is always busy, it may be a good idea to make a reservation ahead.
